What is merge tags?
Merge tags are a way to personalize your message. When you send a message with a merge tag, the system replaces it with an appropriate value before sending it to recipients.
What merge tags do you support?
- FULL_NAME – will be replaced with a recipient's full name, e.g., John Smith.
- EVENT_NAME – will be replaced with an event name. Only available if you send a message to event attendees.
- EVENT_START_DATE – will be replaced with an event start date. Only available if you send a message to event attendees.
- EVENT_LOCATION – will be replaced with an event location. Only available if you send a message to event attendees.
- EMAIL_SUBJECT – will be replaced with an email subject. Only available if you send a message to email recipients.
- EMAIL_WEB_LINK – will be replaced with a link to a web copy of an email. Only available if you send a message to email recipients. Email web link will look like https://we.membersignal.com/1234567890AB9. Its length is 40 symbols. The link is unique for each recipient.
If a merge tag is not available, then it will not be replaced.
IMPORTANT NOTE When you use merge tags, the system can not calculate the final message length during editing. When a merge tag is expanded, the message may become shorter or longer. Learn how message length affects a campaign price? |
